caresses an old mirror:
rainbows everywhere |
sole
al tramonto
sfiora l’antico specchio:
arcobaleni |

the large opened mirror
swings the room |
sera d’estate -
il grande specchio aperto
muove la stanza |

a diamond shine
on the zircon |
giovane al sole -

Giorgio Gazzolo was born in 1937 in Genoa (Italy) where he studied
and graduated in medicine. He has lived in Milan and Rome. In
1967 he began to see his poems published by important reviews.
Seven volumes of verses to critical acclaim. Among many prizes:
the Mainichi Haiku Contest (Tokyo 2002).
