Vjera Majstović was born in Djakovo, Croatia 1929. From
early childhood she lived in Krizevci where she graduated from
High School and became a teacher. She worked in Bosnia-Herzegovina
and in 1952 moved to Zagreb. She graduated at the University of
Zagreb, Pedagogical Academy.
Mrs Majstrović started to write haiku after retiring and
she takes part in haiku meetings in Croatia: Samobor, Ludbreg,
Krapina, Ivanić Klostar and Zagreb. She has published a bilingual
haiku collection in Croatian and English, Rainbow in a Dewdrop,
Samobor, 1999.
